Above,on the left, show small photos of a few of final pieces (bowl and a plate)-Ive decided to create basically a chinaware dinner service set out of material (organza to be precise!) as it reflects the passing down of objects along the female line which was the starting point to my project and the type of inheritance i looked at,also these type of items normally come in multiples and passed down as heirlooms between the women within families...

On the right,the dresser image at the top is the dresser i have brought to use for installing my final pices....ive decided to distress it with white-ish paint and add lighting...i want the dresser to portray my items and the idea behind my project and like many houses; people display their passed down, old chinaware in some kind of dresser, so that is what i would like to recreate!

...cant wait to see what it looks like when its all done and in place in the exhibition... :)

New Organza Colours!!!

Experimentation with Lutradur...

130 gram weight... spray dyed with vintage colours...stitched onto a wire bowl like frame and zapped with a heat gun to create an old,delicate item...

Experimenting with different weights and dyes to see which came out the best...
